What Containers Do You Store Sharps Waste In?
Before collection and disposal, sharps waste streams are stored in approved, colour-coded bins. Trust Hygiene can supply approved sharps bins for your premises.
Yellow sharps bins
Come to Trust Hygiene for yellow sharps containers, which are used for sharps that contain medicines, excluding cytotoxic or cytostatic substances. Used throughout care homes, clinics and GP surgeries.
Orange sharps bins
We can provide orange sharps bins for the disposal of non-medical sharps that have not been contaminated with medicines or hazardous substances. These include scalpels, lancets and needles for blood tests. Can be disposed of via alternative technology
Purple sharps bins
