Range of Dental Waste We Cover

The Trust Hygiene operatives are trained and licensed to handle, transport and dispose of all types of dental waste.

Amalgam waste

Amalgam waste is produced in dental practices and includes metals used on fillings and caps, particles from drilling and removal procedures, and items containing mercury which is classed as hazardous. We use separators and specialist kits for the disposal of amalgam waste.

Pharmaceutical dental waste

Expired medicine, pills and residues can be dealt with by Trust Hygiene. As part of our dental waste management services, we provide your practice with the right bins and means of disposal for us to come and collect.

Sharps dental waste

Dental sharps disposal is required for dental practices using needles, dental burs and scalpels. We ensure you have the right means to dispose of these items to prevent injuries and infections.

X-ray chemicals and lead waste

Hazardous waste includes x-ray dental fixers and chemicals that contain high levels of silver. Lead found in aprons, collars and intraoral film packets is also handled by our experienced team.

Gypsum waste and sludge drums

We collect non-contaminated and contaminated gypsum waste, such as casts and dies, dental plasters and orthodontic models, as well as sludge drum waste containing hazardous dental materials.

Offensive and orange bag waste streams

Any offensive or orange bag waste streams produced in your dental practice will be handled and disposed of by our team. These contain waste such as used swabs and dressings, as well as other PPE with no known contamination or infection.
